Routine appointments can be booked through Reception or via our website (Please note that you will need to register at reception for our online services).
You can pre-book appointments with GP's and nurses up to 6 weeks in advance. GP's can offer you either face-to-face appointments or telephone consultations. Face-to-face appointments are allocated a 10 minute time slot, if you think that you will need longer than this please book more than one appointment.
Telephone Consultations are offered when a GP can deal with your problem over the telephone, saving you a visit to the surgery. A 5 minute time slot is allocated for a Telephone Consultation.
There is an On-Call doctor available daily to offer advice over the telephone or see you if the problem is urgent for that day. You will be asked if it is a medical emergency for the same day and will be expected to take the next available appointment.
MINOR ILLNESS SPECIALIST:
A Minor Illness Specialist will be operating a clinic for specific problems on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday amd Thursday mornings.
The Minor Illness Specialist can deal with:
Colds, Flu, Sore Throats, Sinusitis.
Earache, Asthma, Fever, Hay Fever, Nose Bleeds.
Headache, Head Injury, Dizziness, Neck Pain, Back Pain.
Sore Eyes, Styes, Rashes, Eczema, Nappy Rash.
Cold Sores, Warts & Verrucae, Boils.
Infected Wounds, Ingrowing Toenail, Head Lice, Moles.
Insect Bites and Stings, Sunburn and Mouth Problems.
Abdominal Pain, Indigestion, Diarrhoea and Vomiting.
Constipation, Urinary Tract Infection/Cystitis and Threadworms.
Vaginal Discharge, Period Pains and Contraception and Missed Pills.
Minor Injuries and Road Traffic Accident Assessment.
Please also note that if you suspect you have a URINARY TRACT INFECTION (WATER INFECTION) you don't need to see a nurse or GP. Please ask at reception for a form (or download via the link below) and sample bottle. Please hand in your sample before 11.30am, your sample will be tested and we will inform you of the outcome as soon as possible.
